The staff were friendly. But, when I arrived the lamp on my room did not work, they changed it immediately though. The curtain in the bathroom was super dirty. I do not think I will go there again.

Very friendly staff members, willing to help and give advive about sightseeing areas etc.
This hotel is really not far away from Venice (and one-way ticket is only 1,50 euro). This hotel fulfilled more than we even expected. Thank you Hotel Columbo and see you again !

There were bugs in the bedroom and the lady recepcionist was really mean to me. She didnt want to accept my spanish valid ID (the document i use to travel around UE wasnt enought for her)

when we arrive we've been told there is a extra price for the sheets. we didn't know anywhere else so we accept it but the stuation was unpleasant. the price was very important to us and we had really hard time for that. so if you don't have to live on budget you can go there!

We booked beds in a shared room and ended up in a private room with its own bathroom, which was a great surprise. The wifi is available next to the reception, but as our room was just above it we had it in the room as well. Convenient location for train traveling. Lovely staff too

Bathroom inside my room hasn’t been cleaned in 4 days; bathroom door doesn’t lock; lockers either broken or smelling; old elevator with problems; common area with dirty sofas and shitty bathroom; only 1 plug in bedroom.

I highly recommend this hotel for its location. The rooms were clean and totally worth the money. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything. Would deffinitely go back there again...

People checked-in to the room where we were sleeping very early in the morning and woke us up. The wifi is only in the lobby, no wifi in the rooms. There was no kitchen and it was not possible to eat or drink in lobby (only stuff purchased on the place). No real blankets (extremely thin) with only a thin bedsheet to cover them instead of the duvet cover.

Everything is really ok. The best thing is the location: 15 min by bus from Piazzale Roma in Venezia. Very very convenient. The buses circulate 24 h. The staff are helpful and friendly , the room is ok. But it’s winter now, and nights are cold, and in the bathroom no heating- that’s hard.
I’m sure I’ll enjoy Colmbo in summer)) 8 out of 10

Location was good for the amount you are paying. Bed was alright to sleep in. However, only had 1 power socket in the whole room and 1 in the toilet for the 4-person dorm I slept in. This made it difficult for everyone to charge their electronic equipment.

The least comfortable hostel I ever stayed in!!! The rooms were dirty and the water in the bathroom didn't work. You had to leave the key at the reception if you wanted to leave the hostel (weird!). At least the staff was nice...

We booked the hostel because it was cheap and good located, and just only the night befor we red many bad reviews about the place, and then we were a bit afraid. But! We had a VERY GOOD STAY in the new part of the hostel, with air conditioning, clean sheets and towels. We will be back to Colombo next time when visiting Venice, for sure!

Sconsigliato nel modo più assoluto il soggiorno in questa struttura a causa della sporcizia e della infestazione di scarafaggi e cimici da materasso. Personale incompetente e disorganizzato.

Ho dovuto dare 10 solo perché serve un numero minimo per scrivere la recensione altrimenti avrei dato zero. Cimici nei letti (mi hanno punta) e scarafaggi ma c'è di più: alla mia richiesta di parlare con il titolare è iniziata un'escalation con parte dello staff dell'albergo che si rifiutava di contattarlo. Ho dovuto minacciare di chiamare i carabinieri ma, nonostante questo sia servito per parlare finalmente con lui, il titolare stesso mi ha insultata pesantemente per telefono ("se non ti piace l'albergo levati dai coglioni"). Incredula e anche un po' preoccupata da questa reazione generale, ho deciso di lasciare l'albergo in fretta (ero sola) ma sto già avviando le pratiche legali e sto segnalando la struttura per un controllo da parte della Asl del territorio. Non hanno chiaramente voluto scusarsi né rimborsarmi almeno parzialmente e ho perso i soldi della notte successiva che avrei dovuto dormire lì. Un problema può senz'altro succedere, ma di certo questo trattamento a dir poco "non professionale" è una vergogna per tutti, qualunque il problema sia: ci perdiamo noi clienti e ci perde la città, ma ecco avranno presto la risposta che meritano. State alla larga.

The location of the hostel is very good: close to Mestre train station.
Cleanliness of the room was very poor: the walls were pretty messy (we got a double room).

The room was simple but clean, and all the facilities worked. The bathroom had a slatted roof without a ventilation system, so it was quite mouldy with some mosquitoes, but otherwise fine. The toilets down at reception were very dirty, but otherwise the social area was clean and comfortable. Very close to the station, with a simple coffee bar in the lobby to catch a quick breakfast in the morning. Definitely a good base to see Venice from.

This place was ok. I was only there for one night. The staff was nice but double charged me. Even though I was assured that I will be refunded, after reading other reviews I am pretty sure I will never see that money again. The bed was clean and the water hot, but there was a pigeon coming in trying to make a nest above the AC unit. So there was pigeon poop all over the AC and wall. The hotel is located in a good place, but I felt like this hotel was not safe. (A man that did not belong to my floor followed me to my room.) If all you are looking for is a clean bed and hot shower in a good location, this should do. But I found much better hostels for the same price elsewhere on the islands.

Great place, I had an upgrade which was great and even though the wifi doesn't reach the rooms it was really comfortable and the location is great really close to small shops restaurants and the bus station to Venice.

This hostel was perfect for our stay. 5 minute walk to the train station and 10 minute ride to Venice. The staff was extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. Wifi works well and we had a fun night of cards with some other travelers!

Lunico vantaggio è di trovarsi a cinque minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Mestre.Se sei lì di transito e come me devi prendere un treno alle 05:00 è comodo per il resto cercate altrove.

Stanze adatte ai prezzi proposti, camera un po' impolverata ma comunque non eccessivamente sporca. Peccato per la tapparella rotta. Ha rappresentato comunque una buona soluzione per il soggiorno fatto di un giorno.

Hotel un po' antiquato, va bene per una 1 notte. Pulizia nella norma, ma arredo camera triste e bagno sprovvisto di phon e doccia decente.

Hotel vecchio e senza volontà di migliore. L'anno scorso siamo venuti per la posizione e quest'anno lo stesso, solo per un posto ben communicato dove dormire nei giorni di Carnevale. Molto economico quindi non aspettare grandi comodità.

Sono sicura che se non ci fosse stata la prenotazione tramite questo o altri siti che aggregano l'offerta ,avrebbero rialzato il prezzo sul momento, come fanno molte strutture ricettive come questa.

Struttura semplice pulita ha soddisfatto nel nostre esigenze hanno il parcheggio gratuito o meglio incluso nel preso della camera che è fondamentale per chi viene in macchiano a Venezia come noi ( il costo del parcheggio in Centro ti massacra) invece qui era una soluzione ottima

Ostello tutto sommato ok, vicino alla stazione. Struttura vecchia con camera con varie mancanze e con arredamento poco curato. Tuttavia la stanza era pulita e vivibile.
