Typical little town of the Mediterranean already inhabited in ancient times, as attested by the latest archaeological finds in Contrada Castello, dating back to the Bronze and Iron Ages. Enjoys an extremely favourable geographical position between Valle d’Itria and the Salento, at a distance of only 5 minutes from the Adriatic Sea and the marine sanctuary of Torre Guaceto, a nature reserve protected by the WWF-Italy.
The crypt of San Biagio, a sanctuary located in a cave settlement, holds several votive frescoes dedicated to Oriental Saints, such as San Biagio, San Nicola, Sant’Andrea, as well as Latin ones, like San Giorgio, San Giacomo, San Giovanni. Note that Albatres Palace Hotel is located about 15 kilometers outside Brindisi, in San Vito dei Normanni.

By car: from Rome, Roma/ Napoli motorway / Bari Nord direction - Littoral highway Bari / Brindisi. 21 km. before reaching Brindisi, turn right to S.Vito dei Normanni exit.
From Milan, Motorway Adriatica: Milano / Bologna / Ancona / Pescara /
Bari / San Vito dei Normanni.
By train: daily trains to Ostuni (11 km.) or Brindisi (15 km.) stations.
Then you can get a local train to the Railway station of San Vito dei Normanni, which is about 4 Kilometers away from the hotel. A taxi from here to the Albatro Palace will be around 10-15 Euros.
By plane: Brindisi Airport (15 km.) Bari airport (95 km.) - Daily flights from/to Rome and Milan.
